Shepard Fairey is an American contemporary artist, activist, and founder of OBEY Clothing. Perhaps best known for his “Hope” Barack Obama poster, Fairey is a prolific street artist with art displayed in The Smithsonian, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, NY, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, and the National Gallery in Washington, D.C.
