B. 1931
Bridget Riley got her start painting in a semi-impressionist style before settling into her best known style: Pointilism. In addition to pointilism, Riley also messes with optical reality through her use of Op-Art illusionism to play tricks on the eye. Her best known works present a variety of geometric forms in various shades of color or black and white. Bridget Riley can be found in museums across the globe including The Tate Modern in London, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
